The Preservation Lab offers conservation treatment services to other cultural heritage organizations for all bound materials as well as for parchment, and paper-based artifacts such as drawings, prints, maps and blueprints. Treatment decisions are made in consultation with clients in order to meet the unique conservation needs of both the objects and institutions. In addition, we offer custom preservation enclosures and conservation quality matting and framing of fragile materials.

Preservation consultations are offered to assist with disaster mitigation and provide guidance on best practice for storage and overall collections care.

The Preservation lab does not offer services to private individuals, only to other cultural heritage organizations.  A good resource for finding conservators to work with private individuals is the American Institute for Conservation website at .
